A day as beekeepers: discovering the wonderful world of bees

A relaxing outdoor activity for young and old alike, discovering honey bees, seeing their work up close and learning why they are so important for the environment. We will observe the bees inside educational hives, discover how the queen bee, worker bees and drones live, what their roles are within the colony and how they produce honey.

We will explain the role of the farmer and good practices for bee breeding, what to do to protect them from their enemies, and how to create welcoming habitats for them even in urban contexts. We will conclude the activity with a delicious tasting of our wildflower honey, accompanied by lots of useful tips on how to recognize quality honey.
